Awakened Athletes
There's a show on Netflix called Break Point that documents the lives and matches of some of the world's best tennis players.
The show offers a fascinating window into the minds of unbelievable talents as they attempt to perform under a level of pressure that we'll never truly understand.
And under this immense pressure, all but a few crack.
So what separates these few greats from the rest? Some of it is talent and skill. Some of it is athleticism. But where the rest will often lose to players that are less talented, skilled, and athletic than they are, the greats don't.
This is because the greats have better mental games. The greats can make mistakes and lose momentum in high pressure games without the doubting, angry, and afraid parts of them taking over, whereas the rest can't. And the greats can access and remain in the flow that's natural to their true Self to a greater degree than the rest can.
Most athletes and performers aren't interested in awakening and healing. But if that were to change, I think we'd see these talents unlock new levels of greatness.
